So who are Iveragh-SouthKerry.info? We are a group of local people who are seeking to promote tourism in our area. We are trying to do this by making information about our area more accessible and subsequently to reaching out to people that we think might be interested in our small part of the world.

So why are are we doing this? One of our reasons is that Ireland is very big for a very small country. Every town and village has a history streching back over thousands of years. Landscapes and environments can change utterly in only a handfull of kilometers. This means that when our Tourist information board tries to advertise Ireland they can only paint it in the broadest of brushstrokes. So little remote places, like ourselves, dont feature much when people with offices in the cities decide what to put in the brouchures.
